Our Story

Before The Camel Collection existed, there was just Rory, a pair of skis, and a belief that travel should feel personal.

After leaving a successful city career in 2012, Rory followed his lifelong passion for the mountains into a decade-long career as a ski instructor, leading to the creation of Camel Snow — a bespoke ski travel company known for personal service and insider access.

As his travellers returned year after year, their requests naturally moved beyond the Alps. They wanted the same steady guidance and thoughtful planning wherever they went. That shift led to the evolution of The Camel Collection – a way to take the approach Rory began on the mountain and apply it to journeys across the world.

When Rory isn’t designing trips, he’s usually with his two little ones - preferably somewhere outdoors.

Claudillea brings a truly global perspective to our work. Raised between Malaysia and the United States, with family roots across South Africa, Italy, Britain, and the Seychelles, she quite literally grew up inside hotels while her father ran them. That upbringing shaped a deep understanding of hospitality long before it became her career.

Over the years, she’s become the person friends, clients, and industry partners turn to for where to stay, what to experience, and where to eat . Her discerning eye for hotels, destinations, and experiences ensures that our clients are never just travellers — but true insiders wherever they go.

When Claudillea isn’t planning travel, she can usually be found singing - a passion that continues alongside her work.
