Fushifaru, Maldives

Vibrant and mysterious sea creatures swim around in a small triangle connecting three of the most distinctive dive sites named after the island in the bigger, southern channel. Sums of cleaner fish cleanse and welcome various marine lives to the nationally protected reef.

We are the custodian that protects and sustains our home environment. Just like the cleaner fish that nourishes itself by helping rejuvenate other fish, this is a place where anyone is welcome to explore and relax in a journey of self-discovery.

Fushifaru is located in Lhaviyani atoll between 5° 15″ and 5° 35″ N and between 73° 20″ and 74° 40″ E. The northern atoll holds 54 island and its capital is Naifaru. Maldivians traditionally call it “Faadhippolhu” without adding “atoll”. Legend says only some atolls have names of such.

In the early 12th century during the reign of King Koimala Siri Mahaabarana Mahaa Radun -the first king to rule over all the Maldives- this atoll was called Faadu Bur. They say some of the best divers in the country come from Faadhippolhu.
